Branch Warren has become one of the most dominating forces in bodybuilding today. To those looking to climb to the top, it’s Branch Warren who stands in their way. One of the most notable things about Warren is his gargantuan quads, giving credence to his nickname as the "Quadrasaurus".
Branch Warren began his rise to dominance in 1992 when he entered the AAU Teenage Mr. America, in which he placed first, and he would go on to win again in 1993 at the NPC Teen Nationals. Throughout the 2000s he experienced some great highs with a few lows. In 2005, after coming off of 2 wins back to back (IFBB Europa Show, IFBB Charlotte Pro) Warren headed to his biggest event yet; IFBB Mr. Olympia. Warren was pumped for the event, both mentally and physically. But he finished in a disappointing 8th place. He took another swing at Mr. Olympia the following year (2006) but this time fell to 12th.
In the late 2000s Warren bounced back, and in 2009 he placed 2nd in Mr. Olympia and people realized that Warren was now a serious threat. He proved just how dangerous he was in 2010 when he racked up four wins and 2 Top 3 finishes overall. Since 2011 Warren has won every competition he has entered and has to date won 9 consecutive times. The Arnold Classic is arguably Warren’s strongest competition, as he’s won it 8 times.
Warren trains exclusively at the Metroflex Gym in Arlington, Texas. Metroflex Gym offers one of the most demanding training environments in the world; it’s nothing but a giant warehouse, full of weight benches, super heavy dumbbells and giant sized weights. . .with NO air conditioning! If it’s 108 degrees outside, it’s 108 degrees inside and in Texas the sun scorches the earth. It sounds crazy. It is crazy. But take one look at Warren with his bulging quads and you see what results from this pure insanity.
