Bio

Dennis “The Big Bad” Wolf hails from the former Soviet Union and is one of the biggest freaks to ever take the stage. At 5’11 and 305lb, Wolf appears to have the perfect body that is shredded to bits. Wolf began bodybuilding because it was something he enjoyed. But seeing the massive gains he acquired, he knew he could take his ‘hobby’ to a higher level.

Career

In 1999, Wolf entered his first major amateur competition in the NRW Newcomer Championships, where he placed 2nd in the heavyweight class. He followed up this performance with a win in 2000 at the NRW International Championships, with the heavyweight and overall trophies.

Wolf’s IFBB debut came in 2006 at the IFBB Europa Super Show in which he placed 7th. He claimed his first IFBB victory at the 2007 Keystone Pro Classic Bodybuilding Contest.

Mr. Olympia Controversy: Dennis Wolf vs. Ronnie Coleman

Dennis Wolf vs. Ronnie Coleman

In the 2007 IFBB Olympia, Wolf placed 5th. Supporters of his believe he should have ranked higher. That of course was the year that Jay Cutler took the crown for the second consecutive time. Some even said that Wolf should have finished higher than even Ronnie himself. In 2009 he placed 16th again and the last two years Wolf has placed in 5th position, despite his overwhelming size and leanness. Detractors against the Mr. Olympia judges believe that politics, hype and past performance history influenced their decisions.

The 2012 Mr. Olympia Weekend will begin September 27, running through September 30. Wolf will look to seize the opportunity to claim the title of Mr. Olympia and put the arguments to rest.

Personal Life

Wolf lives with his wife in their 2,600 square foot house in Las Vegas, Nevada where he continues to train.
