Bio

Kevin Levrone is a retired IFBB professional bodybuilder who won twenty-two 1st place titles, and eighteen 2nd place titles during his career. Levrone is also an actor, musician, founder of Levrone Inc., and has owned a gym / health club.

Kevin was born to an Italian father and an African American mother on July 16, 1966 in Rome, Italy and raised in Baltimore, Maryland as the youngest of six children.

Career

Levrone’s first major competition came in 1991 at the Junior Nationals – NPC Heavyweight, where he placed 2nd, then 4 months later at the Nationals NPC Heavyweight he took first place and also became the Overall Winner. He came in 2nd at his first ever Mr. Olympia in 1992.

The Injury

February 1993, Levrone experienced a major pectoral tear that nearly ended his career. He pressed on despite his injury and still managed to place 5th in the 1993 Olympia.

The Comeback

The 1993 chest injury didn’t stop Levrone. More determined than ever, he came back and dominated the European Grand Prix throughout the rest 1990s.

In all, Levrone has racked up 22 IFBB wins. While he hasn’t officially retired from IFBB, he continues to pursue his loves of acting and music.

What Ever Happened To Kevin Levrone?

Levrone initially pursued an acting career but switched to working more behind the scenes in the film industry. We recently spoke with Levrone and he informed us that he's pursuing comedy opposed to the typecast action figure role that bodybuilders would be subjected to playing. He also has consulted businesses in the fitness industry as well as several entrepreneurial endeavors of his own under his belt.
