For this review, we tested Shock Therapy in Wild Punch flavor, and we were quite excited as we have long known the Universal brand for their Animal Stack vitamin line. Lets dive in.
Shock Therapy Taste
Wild Punch tasted really bad. The first sip of this stuff had us cringing and we complained every sip of the way.
Serving Size Effectiveness
The recommended 1 scoop was not enough. It took 2 scoops to notice anything and that was a LOT of powder.
It mixed poorly in water. We found ourselves chewing on chunks of red powder as it seemed to collect in the bottom of the cup rather quickly.
No, we did not have to use the bathroom upon using Shock Therapy.
Approximately 20-30 minutes at 2 scoops.
Average or below average. Definitely not impressive.
Duration is really short. And for some reason this product made us hungry.
No performance gains.
No sleep issues
Final Thoughts on Shock Therapy
Not recommended. It seems Universal played it safe with Shock Therapy; avoiding heavy use of stimulants, but they went ingredient crazy and stuffed way too many ingredients into this product for any of them to be truly affective. Look elsewhere for a preworkout, Universal Nutrition missed the mark with Shock Therapy.
